Welcome to ICC – Intercountry Committees Austria

Rotary's Intercountry Committees (ICC) are one of Rotary International's oldest network organizations. It is an association of Rotary clubs or delegates in two or more countries. The focus is on maintaining friendly relations between the countries involved, based on mutual interest with the aim of exchanging ideas and collaborating on projects

  • to promote better understanding and knowledge about each other,
  • thereby reducing prejudices
  • and to make an important contribution to international understanding and peace.

The first ICC was founded in 1950 between Germany and France on the initiative of Governors Coutant from RC Lille and Haussmann from RC Stuttgart. There are now over 700 ICCs connecting nations in the Rotary world.

The Austrian Intercountry Committees

There are currently 20 ICCs in Austria (D1910 and D1920) and another five in Bosnia and Herzegovina (D1910). The ICC National Coordinators are PDG Walter Ebner (RC Gmunden, walter.ebner@rotary.at) for Austria and PP Nedžad Pirić (RC Tuzla, piric.nedzad@gmail.com) for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
